John M. Leverett represents developers of mixed-use developments, high-rise condominiums, transit-oriented developments, master-planned residential communities, custom lot subdivisions, and commercial/industrial projects.  

Regulatory Compliance  Mr. Leverett regularly advises real estate developers on compliance with the requirements of federal, state and local government agencies, including HUD, VA, Fannie Mae, the California Department of Real Estate, the California Coastal Commission, cities and special districts.

Special Development Issues  Mr. Leverett also has significant experience advising developers of age-restricted communities and live-work projects, and has worked closely with developers, foreclosing lenders and agencies in pre-acquisition due diligence and in restarting the development and sale of “broken” projects.  Mr. Leverett also assists developers with the preparation of special disclosures to purchasers of interests in residential projects on former industrial properties and petroleum-producing lands.
